Top of the Lamb yarn is an essential part of Brown Sheep Company’s story. Top of the Lamb was one of the first yarns produced by the mill in its early days. Top of the Lamb found its way into the hands of Navajo weavers in the Southwestern U.S. who used it for their intricate tapestry-style rugs.  This provided an important customer base for Brown Sheep Company.  This wool yarn continues to be used primarily by Navajo weavers and is found in many of the trading posts in that region. The color palette reflects the hues commonly used in Navajo style weaving. This sturdy, single ply wool yarn is also excellent for knitting and crocheting.
